New Switch Labels, or a Whole New Boat Panel
Relabelling is the most common marine job we get and it is usually the cheapest fix on a boat. Faded, peeling or missing switch labels are a safety issue as much as an annoyance, since anyone who is not the owner, whether that is a crew member, a guest or the next owner, is left guessing.
Send us a photo of the panel with a ruler laid across it and a list of what each switch does. We will engrave a set of labels sized to your panel in the material and colour you would like, either adhesive backed or drilled, and post them back. If the layout is tight, post us the panel itself and we will lay the labels out to fit properly.
If the panel itself has had its day, whether it is cracked, crazed, drilled once too often or you are adding switches, we can cut a new one. A set of switch labels is a small job and priced accordingly, and there is no minimum order.

If the layout is tight, you are welcome to post us the panel itself and we will lay the labels out to fit properly rather than working from a photo. A set of switch labels is a small job and priced like one, and there is no minimum order.
If the panel itself has had its day, whether it is cracked, crazed, drilled once too often or you are simply adding switches, we can cut a new one.
Send us the old panel or a traced template and we will cut the outline, the switch cutouts, the fixing holes and the lettering in one setup on the laser, so everything lines up as it should.
The usual choices are reverse engraved acrylic, paint filled so the lettering sits sealed behind the face and cannot wear off, two tone laminate which is matte and very hard wearing and the usual pick for commercial vessels and engine spaces, or brushed and anodised aluminium if you would like a metal face.
This is the detail that turns a functional panel into one people comment on.
If the lettering is reverse engraved into acrylic and the engraved characters are left unfilled, light from behind the panel comes through the letters and nowhere else. At the helm at night you get clear white or coloured lettering with no glare off the panel face.
It does need designing in from the start, since the lettering has to be cut to suit and the panel material and thickness matter, so please mention it at the proof stage rather than once the panel is cut.
You can have whatever wording you like, covering nav lights, anchor light, steaming, bilge pump, wash down, live bait, deck wash, spreaders, radios, sounder, macerator, fridge, inverter and shore power, along with the one every boat has that only makes sense to its owner.
We can add icons and symbols instead of or alongside text, grouping and dividing lines so related switches read as a group, circuit and breaker numbering to match the wiring, warning wording where something should not be left on, and the boat name or logo engraved into the panel.
One small piece of advice on wording: it usually helps to label what the switch does rather than what it is connected to, since deck wash is more use at 2am than pump 2.

Send us a photo of your panel with a ruler across it and a list of what each switch does, and we will come back with a price and a layout. If you fit panels regularly, let us know your standard label size, font and material once and after that a job is simply a list of wording and a quantity.
Yes, and it is the most common job we get. Send a photo with a ruler across the panel and a list of what each switch does.
Post us the panel itself and we will lay the labels out to fit properly rather than working from a photograph.
Either. Adhesive backing is standard, and we can drill for screws or rivets where there is heat or vibration.
Yes, in reverse engraved acrylic with the lettering left unfilled so light comes through the characters. It needs to be designed in from the start.
