Industrial Labels Cut and Engraved on Our Own Laser
We cut everything on our CO2 laser at One Tree Point near Whangarei and courier it anywhere in New Zealand. There is no minimum order, no tooling charge and no setup fee for a short run, because a laser does not much mind whether it is cutting one label or four hundred.
Send us whatever you have to work from. A photo of the existing board, a spreadsheet of circuit descriptions, a marked-up drawing, a list in the body of an email or the label you are replacing are all perfectly workable starting points.
We will come back with a proof showing the exact layout, text, sizes and material, and nothing gets cut until you are happy with it. On a long list that step is well worth having, because it is where the occasional typo in a spreadsheet gets picked up.
Two tone laminate is our default and suits most jobs. The usual combinations are white on black, white on blue, white on red, black on white and black on yellow, generally in 1.5 mm, and it can be drilled, screwed or adhesive backed. Indoors it will last as long as the plant does.
Anodised aluminium is a good choice for labels that will see heat, solvent or abrasion, or that live outdoors permanently. Stainless steel suits engine rooms, marine work, food plant and anywhere a plastic label would not be accepted. Acrylic works nicely where the label is also seen by the public, in a reception or front of house area, and wants to look designed rather than industrial.
If you are not sure which to go for, tell us where it is going and what it needs to survive. That is usually a more useful conversation than material names.
Most traffolyte engraving in New Zealand is done from Lower Hutt, Christchurch or Australia, or through online configurators where you type into a box and hope for the best.
As far as we know we are the only workshop in Northland offering it, which means that for a Whangarei electrician, a Marsden Point contractor or a Northland engineering firm there is finally a local option rather than a courier from the other end of the country.
If you need labels in a hurry, give us a ring. And if something in the list you send looks like it might be wrong, we will check with you before cutting rather than engrave it as it stands.
Send us whatever you have, whether that is a photo of the existing board, a spreadsheet, a marked-up drawing, a list in an email or the label you are replacing.
It helps us quote quickly if you can tell us how many you need, roughly what size, what they are fixing to, whether they are going indoors or out, and whether the text is sequential.
We proof everything before cutting, so you will see the exact layout at actual size first. Most label jobs are quoted the same day.
Because a laser has no tooling to change between one label and the next, a run of four hundred uniquely numbered tags costs close to what four hundred identical ones would. That is the main practical advantage over stamping.
Send us the register, whether that is a spreadsheet, a CSV or an export from your maintenance system, and we will lay it out, proof it back and engrave the run. We will follow your numbering convention exactly rather than suggesting a different one.
We keep the file afterwards, so next year's additions carry on from where the last run finished and match the rest.

Give us a call or send through how many labels you need, roughly what size, what they are fixing to and whether they are going indoors or out. We quote most label jobs the same day, and there is no minimum order, so a run of six replacements is just as welcome as a full site.
It is the trade name that stuck to two tone engraving laminate. A coloured surface layer over a different coloured core, so engraved lettering shows in the colour underneath and cannot rub off.
No, and there is no setup fee either. One label is a perfectly normal job, because a laser needs no tooling.
Yes. Send a photo of what is on the board now and we will match the colour, size and layout rather than guess at it.
However it exists. A spreadsheet, a CSV, a marked-up drawing, a photo of the old labels or a list typed into an email all work fine.
Yes, anywhere in New Zealand. Labels post easily, so this is very much a nationwide service.
